  How to prevent freezing of a 2 ton chiller?

  The following are the drainage measures for the 2 ton chiller unit.

  1. Condenser: Open the end cover on the other end of the water pipe; After opening, please pay attention to loosening the end cover and screws.

  2. Evaporator: Open the drain valve below the evaporator connection and drain all water. It is recommended to keep the drain valve open normally in winter and turn off the water supply before starting the machine the following year.

  3. Pipeline and pump: Drain the water in the pipeline and pump to the lowest point.

  4. Cooling tower: Open the drain valve at the lowest part of the cooling tower water tray to drain the chassis.

  5. End: There is a drain valve at the bottom of the coil, and the drain valve has also been opened. The drain valve is in a normally open state during winter.

  During the day or night, the pump must remain in operation. If not used for a long time, the water must be drained. If the weather is harsh (temperature below -10 ℃), it is recommended to stop draining and add antifreeze to the water.

  The key to antifreeze is to add antifreeze appropriately.

  Antifreeze is a coolant with antifreeze function, which can prevent the coolant from freezing in cold winter, extend the service life of the laser and internal pipelines of the cooler, and damage the pipeline seal.

  There are various antifreeze formulations on the market, so many customers do not know how to select, deploy or select some Antifreeze that is not suitable for our use.

  In fact, the 2-ton chiller unit has certain requirements for antifreeze. Incorrect selection or improper use can damage the internal pipelines of the equipment. The specific performance requirements for antifreeze for a 2-ton chiller are as follows:

  1. Chemical stability;

  2. Good antifreeze performance;

  3. Low temperature viscosity;

  4. Corrosion prevention and rust prevention;

  5. The rubber sealing tube is free from expansion and corrosion.

  Most antifreeze solutions are ethylene glycol and propylene glycol. This antifreeze can be directly used in an appropriate proportion according to environmental temperature requirements.
